Art Ball 2024
Saturday | March 23 | 6:30 PM – ?? | 140 W. Broad Ave.
AMA Art Ball returns this year on a special date–March 23, the 60th anniversary of the incorporation of the Albany Museum of Art.
Once again, it will be an evening celebrating the museum, the arts, and the community. We will start with cocktails, followed by a gourmet dinner. After dinner, there will be live and silent auctions. Then, you can dance the night away to live music by The Grapevine Band at the After Party, which features dancing, hors d’uoevres, and cocktails.
The co-chairs for Art Ball 2024 are Victor and Katie Sullivan, longtime supporters of the AMA.
You can view items for this year’s Art Ball Auction HERE. The items list will be updated.
While a celebration, Art Ball plays an indispensable role for the Albany Museum of Art as the museum’s biggest fundraiser of the year. Art Ball not only raises awareness about the AMA and its important work in the community, it raises vital funding that supports free admission for everyone, world-class traveling exhibitions, educational programming, art camps (including scholarships to reach more areas of the community), and more.
This year, the effort to raise funds for free field trips for students, free admission for everyone, scholarships to art camps, and educational programming is off to a great start thanks to the Wayne and Alicia Gregory Family Foundation, the new sponsor for the Access to Art Paddle Raise. The goal at this event on the 60th anniversary of the forming of the AMA is to raise $60,000. The gift from the Wayne and Alicia Gregory Family Foundation has the museum already a quarter of the way toward realizing that lofty goal. Their Albany companies BMW of Albany and Albany Motorcars Mercedez-Benz are sponsoring the bid paddles used for the Paddle Raise donations and for bids in the evening’s live auction.
Upland Wealth Advisors is the Bar Sponsor this year. SafeAire Heating & Cooling is the Wine Glass Sponsor. Corporate sponsors are Phoebe and Watson Spence.
The musical entertainment will be provided by one of Georgia’s premier party bands, The Grapevine Band from Macon. The evening’s dinner is by the talented chefs with Stewbos.
